Insectoid Aliens
The Grell represent the lifegiving lushness, wild growth, and untamed deadly ferocity of the force of nature itself. This insectoid / arachnoid alien species lives in a symbiotic relationship with the Koru, a species of intelligent plant life, who empower the Grell. The Koru will also be a playable Mercenary faction in future releases. We do not know the exact relationship between the Grell and the Koru yet, only that they are in a symbiotic relationship of some sort.

The Grell are a symbiotic alien bug species noted for their world-terraforming abilities. Below are 6 important grell mechanics: seedlings, cultivators, grass, nourishing pods, infuse and the Grell hero.
1. Seedlings
Seedlings are the low HP workers of Grell. They spawn every 15 seconds from a main base Root Colony. Each base can support a maximum of 4. They are consumed when a new building is constructed.
2. Cultivators
Cultivators are cheap watch towers. They can be upgraded into cultivator attackers to gain HP and a powerful attack.
3. Grass
All buildings spread grass. Standing on grass heals any player or ally owned unit by 2HP per second. This includes mercenaries and heroes.

5. Infuse
For the cost of top bar energy you can infuse any non heroic unit giving it double vitality, attack speed, cooldown rate and supply cost. You can infuse ally units!
Seedlings can be infused to morph them into a flying unit with more HP. These are useful as scouts and can construct buildings.
6. Grell Hero
The Grell hero can only be picked with the Grell faction. It has 3 powerful spells:
- Vines: An area spell that slows and damages
- Burrow: Teleport itself and friendly units around the map.
- Consume: Regain HP by leeching from friendly units.
