In ZeroSpace Excluded Repeat Open Tournaments, you may not play the same combination of Faction + Merc in a game series.

Format:
Open to all skill levels.
Swiss style means you play opponents with a similar score to you for fun games.
Single unseeded group.
Matches are best of 5; each win awards 1 point.
Top two players (after tiebreakers) compete in a best-of-7 final.
No pressure to play, if you cant make it just message your opponent.
Schedule:
3 rounds, one per day starting Monday 6th at 08:00 UTC. (Round two Tuesday, Round three Wednesday)
24-hour window to contact opponent and complete your match.
No contact results in a loss; mutual no-contact results in a tie.
Gameplay Rules:
"Excluded Repeat" faction + merc combinations in a single match.
Example invalid combination:
- Game 1: Legion + Valkaru
- Game 2: Legion + Marran
- Game 3: Legion + Valkaru
Example valid combination:
- Game 1: Legion + Valkaru
- Game 2: Legion + Arandi
- Game 3: Grell + Arandi
The first person to message their scheduled opponent in the 24 hour window on discord is player 1 (either in the alpha-lfg channel, or via dm)
Player 1 hosts first game, Player 2 picks first map
Player 2 hosts second game, Player 1 picks second map
Player 1 hosts third game, Player 2 picks third map
etc
If you cant both settle on a faction + merc for a game (you both keep swapping to counter pick) then the host picks first and is locked in to that choice.
Best of 7 finals is the same rules with two extra games (if needed)
The first rounds 24-hour window starts on Monday 6th at 08:00 UTC. If you can't agree on a time, then you play at 07:00 UTC. Second round Tuesday, Third round Wednesday.
