Fundamentals
Author Rating:
Merc Hub is a stationary structure; Longer Reinforcing Time
A disadvantage compensated by fast unit speed
Multi-purpose DPS-oriented Roster
Low Item Synergy
Units are unusually fast, requiring more micro to manage
Gimmicky; Roster reads better than it performs
Roster
Shade
Author Rating:
Roles: Melee, DPS, Hexite Dump
Synergies: Melee, Ranged, Needler
Spawns in Trios
Cheap, Very Good DPS
Good additional DPS during the early game
Can walk through other units; High Synergy with army
Has 2 Range but is still considered melee
Note that the fact it clips through other units does not increase its durability when used alongside tanky units
Hard to keep alive in practice... without Life-steal
Cannot target air
Needler
Author Rating:
Roles: Ranged, DPS, Burst
Synergies: Melee, Shade
Spawns in Pairs
Very affordable
Quite fast; Often runs into trouble
Best direct DPS Merc, with a LOT of asterisks
Weak per-shot damage
Not reliable
Very Gimmicky; Only unit in Zerospace to require ammunition
Once out of ammunition, regains one ammo every 1.25sec
If the target doesn't die in 6 shots, you may as well get another unit
Ineffective in any fight that is not a High Noon duel
High tendency to waste shots on enemy front-liners; Best used for precision strikes
Attack Speed Boosting effects actually reduce performance; Increases Overkill
Attack Speed Boosting effects do not increase the rate ammunition replenishes
Poor Range; Smallest out of all the Ranged DPS Mercs
50% Larger than a Lasher; Less Space-Efficient
Can target air
Drake
Author Rating:
Roles: Ranged, Crowd Control, Burst, Flying, Caster
Synergies: Melee, Shade
Meme unit
Sub-par performance in all of its roles
Poor Weapon DPS
Low HP makes its shock tactics not recommended
Only real utility is serving as a flying scout unit
Except there are far more cost-effective flying scout units
Can target air
Ability
Max Energy Pool of 100
Very ineffective in practice
Only effective if you have the energy to do two runs per unit
Otherwise the Drake will end up surrounded by enemies and die
Cooldown ensures one use per fight
Very meager damage output
Bears some efficiency in higher numbers, 4+ Line Attacks
Too micro-intensive for its utility
Devourer
Author Rating:
Roles: Ranged, Crowd Control, Tank, Caster
Synergies: Ranged, Needler
Meme Unit
Expensive, Massive and slow
Poor damage output for a T3
Underwhelming AoE Radius for a T3 unit
Deceptive Model; Other units can path through its tail
Can target air
Ability
Very ineffective in practice
Requires melee range to devour
Damage trail requires retreating the devourer to actually affect enemies
Disabling the weapon while using the ability makes the Devourer a meat shield
Can be used to deal with threatening enemies
Cannot devour Air Units, nor Massive Units
Synergies
Aster:
No Synergy; Utility for 0/4 Units
Aster's Veterancy Mechanic does not function well with Endari
The Endari Roster does not provide useful additions for Aster
The lack of Mechanical units reduces further reduces synergy
Shades will leech XP from the reliable units and lose it all upon death
Additional fragile DPS units are not what Aster benefits from
Drakes and Devourers should only be used for meme builds; They are not effective
Vynthra:
Some Synergy; Utility for 2/4 Units
Ironically enough, Shades are the most useful unit here
Frenzy and Infusion can greatly empower their melee DPS and durability
The fact Shades can walk through other units significantly boosts their utility; Ensures a role alongside Mandragoras
Needlers do not benefit from Frenzy and Infusion does not affect their ammo count
Needlers are not a reliable DPS option; Opt for Lashers or other Merc Factions
Needlers can, however, be a good complement to Lashers
Drakes and Devourers should only be used for meme builds; They are not effective
Overall, the Endari can provide a good addition to Vynthra's DPS and time-to-kill
Galavax
Low Synergy; Utility for 1/4 Units
Shades are practically less-effective and more costly Steelsworn
Needlers can have utility as an affordable Ranged DPS, complementing regular army compositions
Drakes have no utility
Devourers are deprecated by Galavax's significantly more effective tanking and Crowd Control options
Tips When Facing Endari Enemies
Note that the Endari Roster features three units that cannot be recruited: Assassin, Endari Oracle and Impaler
The Assassin is a non-hero variant of She-Who-Stalks, they are fast and have a pounce ability that deals damage on impact
However they are rather fragile
The Oracle is powerful Ranged AoE unit
The Impaler is a non-hero variant of She-Who-Stalks ultimate form; A melee tank that can leap into enemies
Attack Waves containing Endari will arrive faster at your base; Prepare accordingly
Do not underestimate Drakes in combat; Five Drakes charging across the same line can still be devastating
Endari Attack Waves tend to over-use Devourers, they can be difficult to deal with
